EnJunaya was born in San Francisco and grew up in a single family home in urban Bay Area communities. This experience influenced her decision to work professionally as a Social Worker and a Therapist in low income communities, group homes, psychiatric facilities, etc., as an Associate with Grant Making Institutions, Research Administrator with the University of California San Francisco and Los Angeles and as a Public Policy Analyst for children and the National Association of Mental Illness.

After relocating to Los Angeles, EnJunaya's entrepreneurial spirit took flight. Leaving behind a lucrative career at UCLA, she immersed herself in the beauty industry, working at Sephora to gain valuable insights.

Driven by personal challenges and a growing awareness of the harmful effects of toxic chemicals in cosmetics, EnJunaya began formulating her own clean and sustainable skincare and haircare products in 2007. Her journey toward health and wellness inspired her to create Zuhuri Beauty, a Black Female-Owned Green Beauty brand that prioritizes natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.

With a background in chemistry and a commitment to quality, EnJunaya not only formulates and manufactures products for Zuhuri Beauty but also provides private labeling services for other brands. Her innovative formulations have gained recognition and are now available in stores across the United States and Canada.

Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, EnJunaya has been fortunate to receive mentorship and support from various organizations, including VSEDC, PACE, digitalUndivided, and Chase Bank. These experiences have played a crucial role in her personal and professional growth.
